West Head Road Race

This event is entirely within a National Park. Please note that smoking is prohibited within National Parks. Rubbish must be not be discarded, and gel wrappers etc must be properly disposed of.  Participants must hold a current RACE AusCycling and present it prior to the race if requested.  Triathlon Australia is not a recognised RACE licence.  MWCC is supported by its sponsors.  Without the support of our sponsors, we would not be able to bring you these races.  Participants must wear an AS-compliant helmet.  The event is held in accordance with AusCycling Rules & Regulations.  The event is held on a public road, and participants must adhere to road rules and the directions of the police and commissaires.  Refunds will be made if the event is cancelled due to weather, fire bans, or other safety reasons.  Refunds will not be made where an entrant is a no-show.  Refunds may be made if requested at least 3 days prior to the event.  Decisions on grading are at the discretion of the MWCC handicapper, and their decision is final.  All riders entering a sanctioned AusCycling event acknowledge that they engage in that event at their own risk and that cycling and cycle racing can be considered a dangerous sport that can result in injury out of an act or omission of the rider, other riders, other vehicles, spectators and other obstacles and track and road conditions and whilst all reasonable care is taken by organisers and officials when organising the event; all participating cyclists have an equal responsibility to ensure they take all reasonable care in adhering to the rules and other conditions imposed by Police and or officials ensuring a safe race environment for all concerned. 1. I understand, acknowledge, and accept that cycling is an inherently dangerous sport, which may result in severe injury or death from a collision, fall, mechanical failure, physical exertion, or other incident
2. I voluntarily participate in this event at my own risk.
3. I waive any rights I may otherwise have against AusCycling, the event promoter and their agents and representatives relating to, and agree they are not responsible for, any loss or damage resulting from my participation in the event, including any loss.
4. I agree to follow the directions of any event organiser or official and the AusCycling Technical Regulations and policies.
5. If the participant in this event is under 18 years of age, I warrant that I am a parent or guardian of the participant and agree for myself and the participant that I provide the acknowledgements, agreements and waiver set out above in respect of the participant.
