Twilight Series 2020/21 Round 4 (Please read COVID Restrictions!)

Racing for 2021 starts this Wednesday with Round 4 of our Twilight Criterium Series. In line with current COVID health restrictions in place until Jan 22nd and our COVID safe plan, racing will proceed with these conditions:

• All persons at the venue need to have a mask AND wear the mask in all situations where social distancing is not possible including sign on, canteen, walking in and out of the clubhouse area, not being separated from other spectators.

• Any attendees who have not entered to race must check in either by QR Code or by signing the manual attendance sheet.

• Masks are not required when on the track racing (when you are effectively 'on the field of play'), but will be required for the racing briefing where social distancing is not possible. It is easiest to assume you need to wear a mask at all times except when racing on the track, but you may of course remove your mask when outdoors and able to obtain the required one person per 2 square metres rule.

Hamilton Wheelers Annual afternoon Twilight Criterium Series

Series championship points are awarded in each race down to 5th place (5,4,3,2,1). For points races - 2 points first place and 1 point second place per lap. 5,4,3,2,1 points for the final sprint. NOTE due to track resurfacing there is a gap between round 1 & 2.

• All riders must have:
• a valid AusCycling RACE membership which must be produced at registration before each race
• A buncheur.com account for online entries
• A current grading with Hamilton Wheelers

All riders must be grading by Hamilton Handicappers BEFORE entering. This must be done by submitting a grading application via the Website www.hamiltonwheelers.com/general-info/club-grading-list (Info...Grading System) no later than 8pm tuesday. No gradings can be done on raceday!!

All Juniors u17 and younger MUST only race in the Junior races, and must complete a gearing rollout before registering to race. Entry for Juniors is FREE! Seniors entry fee is $12

All licences must be shown at registration, online entry does not validate your licence. Download your digital licence via your membership profile at www.tidyhq.com

Online entries close at 12pm Wednesday, please get organised and get your entry in early, our volunteers have work commitments and cannot reply to your requests if you miss the cutoff.

Prizemoney in each race for the first 4 places and first unplaced female (provided there is more than one female in the race).

Primes in each race depending on entries. First prime for females only (provided there are a minimum of 3 female riders). Series championship winner's prize for each grade. Presentations on the final race meeting on 3rd Feb.

A Grade - $200, B Grade $150, C Grade $100, D Grade $50

Schedule:

Juniors A/B&C Grades 4:30pm (20/15/10min + 2 laps)

C Grade 5:00pm (30mins+2 laps)

D Grade 5:01pm (25mins+2 laps)

A Grade 5:35pm (45mins+2 laps)

B Grade 5:40pm (35mins + 2 laps)

If the participant in this race is under 18 years of age, I warrant that I am a parent or guardian of the participant and agree for myself, and the participant, to provide the acknowledge, waiver and release set out above in respect of the participant.  

 COVID-19 NOTICE

Instructions - abide by all the instructions provided online, via signage and by volunteers and officials
Don't come - If you have any symptoms including a high temperature, have been asked to self-quarantine or isolate, are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, have travelled overseas or through a hotspot within 14 days
Observe signs and markers - enter the clubhouse only via the ramp and exit only via the stairs, space out following the X markers, don't hang around in the clubhouse
Social distancing - yes it may have been a while since you've seen your mates; but no handshakes, hugs or kisses. Please keep to 1.5m social distancing and abide by markings on the floor
Race entries - Each grade is limited to 60 riders
Sign-on - entry via the ramp, exit via the stairs
Race numbers - after racing, place them in the sterilising bucket provided do not re-enter the clubhouse
Sanitiser - please use the hand sanitiser provided
Get in, Race, Get out - by all means have a coffee afterwards but then go home to minimise total numbers for each race session
Hygiene - no air hankeys/snotrockets, spitting etc!
