Description


START TIME - first rider off @ 5:30pm
Arrive by 5:15pm so you can collect you transponder.
Ensure you are warmed up prior to start.
If you miss your start time slot you still need to stop and be released by the commisaire when they feel it is safe to release you.

Grading guidelines:
A Grade - <23mins (Average speed: 42km/h +)
B Grade - 23-25mins (Average speed: 40-42km/h)
C Grade - 25-28mins (Average speed: 35-39km/h)
D Grade - 28-30 mins (Average speed: 31-34km/h)
E Grade ->30 mins (Average speed: Up to 30km/h)

Front and rear lights encouraged.

Prize Money:
Handicap Winner: $50
Handicap 2nd: $30
Handicap 3rd: $20

The fastest male and fastest female riders will each win $50 to spend at Trek Burleigh Heads.

Participants will be released one at a time for a 10 Mile Time Trial, this translates to 16km, so make sure you start your GPS, counting laps is difficult!

Junior Riders need only do their max distance - the extra laps will be auto calculated based on your average speed from the laps in your distance.
U13 - 8km - 6 laps
U15 - 10km - 8 laps
U17 - 15km - 11 laps
Please stay at least 20m away from the timing system if you are not completing your distance.

KEEP TO THE INSIDE OF THE CIRCUIT UNLESS OVERTAKING, INCLUDING THROUGH THE CORNERS.
Ensure you always leave space on the outside for a faster rider to pass you, especially through the S bend.

When overtaking please ensure you have a decent gap (5 metres or more) before moving back to the inside line. This is to ensure the overtaken rider does not draft from you.

Grades are only used to set the release order. A Grade is released last.

How do you get a handicap: simply race or train at a handicap TT session and your handicap is automatically adjusted over time. The sooner you complete a TT session with the club, the sooner your handicap will reflect your true ability!

Never argue with an official: If you need clarification, have your coach or parent approach the official during a break or after competition
