2020 will be the 18th running of the annual John Dewhurst Memorial Handicap. The race in memory of John Dewhurst, a club stalwart for many years including President, reformed the club in 1965 after a hiatus and later founded the Muswellbrook to Tamworth road race. John even turned his hand to commentating at the Friday night Track meets where up to 80 riders would race around the old velodrome at No.1 oval.
