Easts - Tuesday Night Heffron Season 39 - Week 8

Racing starts at 6pm and is a graded handicap with 3 grades, A, B and C

Tuesday Night Racing is conducted under the rules & policies of Aus Cycling which can be viewed online at

Specific regulations to note are

• All riders MUST have a valid Aus Cycling Racing licence
• Race entry for all grades is $20 and is open to Elite, U23M, U19M, U17M, MMAS and Womens categories
• Online Entries ONLY via Buncheur close Monday 8pm
• Sign on opens 5pm – all riders MUST sign on prior to race start.
• Race Handicapper and Race Manager will have the final decision on grading of riders.
• Riders returning from illness/injury or who have been absent from racing for any length of time cannot enter a grade lower than their normal grade.
• Riders may have a lap out for a mechanical/puncture but MUST race the last 3 laps
• Lapped riders are not permitted to join a slower grade and must leave the circuit if dropped
• Please REMOVE all pumps, lights from your bike before racing
• Club apparel or AusCycling approved sponsor apparel to be worn
• Race numbers are to be worn on the RIGHT side of the racing jersey and returned to the registration desk at the conclusion of the race.
• If this is your first Tuesday Night Heffron race, please make yourself know to the Race Handicapper and Race Manager before signing on.
• All riders must follow the directions of the Race Commissaire who will have the final decision in any disputes that may arise.

Weather

Sydney summer weather patterns can be very unpredictable and unless there is persistent, heavy rain racing will go ahead

A weather call will be made no later than 3pm if racing is cancelled and published on the Heffron Park Tuesday Night Racing facebook page.

Race Start order

1st - B Grade start race first (40kph+)

2nd - C Grade start second @ 45sec (37kph +)

3rd - A Grade start last @ 2.30sec  (44kph+)

Time gaps are determined on the night based on number of riders, strength of each bunch and weather conditions

Riders must agree to following terms and conditions

1. I hold a current AusCycling RACE License. 
2. I voluntarily participate in this event at my own risk.
3. I waive any rights I may otherwise have against AusCycling, the event promoter and their agents and representatives relating to, and agree they are not responsible for, any loss or damage resulting from my participation in the event, including any loss that may arise from death or injury to myself or others, or damage to any property.
4. I agree to follow the directions of any event organiser or official and the AusCycling Technical Regulations and policies.
5. If the participant in this event is under 18 years of age, I warrant that I am a parent or guardian of the participant and agree for myself and the participant that I provide the acknowledgements, agreements and waiver set out above in respect of the participant

Second year U17 riders are permitted to compete using U19 gearing as of 01 October 2021. U19 riders must compete using U19 gearing. These policies are as per AusCycling Junior Policy, July 2021.
